Greased lightning at uni (dont know the bandwidth but it's pretty immense)

At home the pics can be a little slow but generally the forums aint too bad, I never get timeouts or anything like that.

56k dial-up

near Melbourne, in Australia

Speed's great compared to other sites. The movie downloads are also pretty fast.... but would be faster for me if you allowed multipart downloads.

Hi Kevin,

I don't know which OS or connection you use... but if you use XP and have upgraded with this patch from april the 16. then that might be the problem... info about the patch here

a lot have complained about this patch made their system slow and other things... Microsoft are working on a better patch as far as I have understood... I read it in an article fron af danish IT news thing... :)

you can also test you connection here to see if you can get some usefull info about it... "Internet Connection Center"... -->

RAGE - Cable Modem (650-somthing K)

Minnesota, US

SM be SOOOPA-fast!

DukerX 25-04-2003 10:35 PM

Norway (Europe)
1024/512k ADSL

I find this site to be very fast, but I beleive it's due to the geographic location, just as much as my connection speed.

When I'm on this site, most of you people are at work, or doing something other than browsing this site or other sites on the server it runs from...

When I drop by in the morning or about lunch.. It's a bit slow, cause then all you US ppl just finished dinner, and are sitting in front of your computers and making the entire internet go slooow.

Siberwulf 18-06-2003 02:35 AM

NitroLiq 18-06-2003 03:25 AM

Cable modem...NYC...currently running 877 kpbs down / 136 kpbs up. SM pages load almost instantaneous....so supah speedy, here (most of the time, anyway).

genius995 18-06-2003 07:18 AM

Holland, ADSL 756kbit...

Sometimes a bit slower that other times... but that has to do with the server load :) (the number of concurrent visitors)
