Nice work Dave. I would love to see an ambient occlusion render on this. It would really highlight the detail.

I am mate but it's taking a back seat at the moment, character modelling for a client. Hopefully back on it next week.

Daverave: Put a ground plane under the tank for the AO renders mate - quite big so it covers double the size of the vehicle....the rays will have a bit more to bounce off and stop that burn out in the whites mate. Jay |

Last one for tonight, the hatch has taken a bit longer then I thought it should............dave
|
Looks great Dave. The AO looks much better with a ground plane.
|
Cheers Dave
You could up the spread a bit on the AO too (around 1.1 to 1.5 and also the distance to 2000 +), its better but still a bit burnt. put samples to 64 as well. Also up the AA in the render setting min -1 max 2 should do it. It will be longer on the render but should look sexy once its done. Justdo it so you can see the the shape of the vehicle better too good wires mate J |
Very nice. Great modelling on the hatch!
