Started the mouse. I've only used NURBS five or six times before so it still needs a lot of work doing to the area i've done.

Wow! looking really good... how about doing a keyboard creation tutorial for us :D

fredriksson 03-08-2003 06:51 PM

Thanks howard. And no, there won't be a keyboard tutorial just yet, since I am not quite happy with the result.

I think it looks fine already and would love to see a tutorial on it.

fredriksson- I looks damn nice to me! Is it all one mesh? and how did you get that partial wire render?

both of your scenes look terrific BTW

Looking great both of you! Really impressive keyboard you have there Fredriksson. The stuff you've added really reminds me of your workplace :D

Howard, I composited a wireframe (sshot from a viewport) and a render in photoshop, and the buttons are separate from the base.

howardporter 03-08-2003 11:48 PM

nice trick.... I am definitely stealing that one ;)

you two are doing mighty fine and fast work.. but
ckyuk i really think your scene needs some better light setup!

I tried duckys (simple and great btw.) method of texturing the keys, but with the image squashed into a square, it didn't look very good (i compensated for it naturally, but most of the information in width was lost). I think that either I won't bother or that I will need to up the resolution alot, and do funky stuff in PS.
