Kurt your character doesnt need to be redone - your drawing os great! I will take a crack at it if you like but I think it is really nice the way it is.

I cant believe I am wasting precious hours of my lif on this... here is the intro to his special move |
Howard, you are a sick sick puppy.
heheh... great start..... the animation is a little floaty when hes jumping out of the bowl speed it up a bit.. The landing is not bad=)
k- I agree, I am very new to the animation part. but I sure am having fun with it :-)
also I am changing what the character is... I couldn't stomach looking at him anymore. he is now a meatball, all I have to do is shift his color to be more red :-) less offensive and the wife will let me back into the house this way. heh heh |
HHEEHEHE but i liked the poop.... Let me know if you need some help or suggestion in the animation..
Great stuff |

Kurt I actually have a question about setting keys. I get an unwanted motion when I set 3 or more keys. it ends up over shooting the second keyed mark and then slides back into it. I tried clamping the keys but am having no luck :-( I also tried every other key option with out any luck, whats the trick?
------------------ edited the character- now he is hitman :-) |
Looking forward to seeing a meat bRawl. ;)
lol!
funny and sick at the same time but very cool! can't wait to see the final result Howard
When setting keys especially with a character moving his body (feet and root) I key each one of the foot controls as well as the root each time I want to set a key. You are correct about making sure the keys are clamped, this alone helps with the slipping.
Do you use auto key? Think about it in this way.. for your character to move correctly his root and feet need to move together as one, so when moving a character say is walking/jumping you have to make sure that all 3 sections are keyed at the same spot if all three are not keyed at the same point you will get a slip effect. Its a bit hard to explain in words took me a while to get it under my belt... this problem only really happens to me when im doing a walk and forget to key the three togther when its not cycled. I just make sure I Key the feet and root each time my character moves forward. I actually key not just auto key for the three sections. If you can't figure out what i mean let me know and i'll make a quick tut to help out. Kurt |
LOL really funny stuff.. don't blame you for changing to get back inthe house. LOL
Wow, very original character. I like the texture job and like the background story and the name...Meat Bawl ..lol.
Love the animation mate, and the sense of humour.
LOL very funny...nice work man!
btw, where'd you learn to draw concept art like that? really good! |
heh, well, Howard's a professional comic book artist, so it's no surprise his concept work would be pretty killer. :)
thanx guys!- spekkio- mikes right, I draw comics during the day, but at night I learn Maya from Mike and Kurt: via the videos on this site (shameless plug:)) I have been drawing my entire life and studied illustration in college. I still have along way to go, art is a lifetime journey.
tonight I gave him a gun and a cigar, whats a soprano-type guy without those anyway? edit: I cant add pics no more? |
NICE !! fitting accents to this one's persona.
hehehe, reminds me of The Godfather...dunno why
