If my computer can't take the final scene with those high poly speakers i'll use this low poly one. It's got around 40,000 less faces.

You have a bit of a head start with your speakers and pen, but I will try to catch up. I attach an reference pic for my workplace. Good luck and have fun. :beer:

I'll try and finish a day early to make up for the headstart.

I'll get a photo uploaded when i find some battries for my camera as the only one i've got was taken with a flash and removes all the shadows.

Nah, from this distance, I doubt you could tell the difference.

ok, i'll use the low poly ones then as my computer runs about ten times faster with them. Here's a photo of my workspace.

tisk tisk tisk, you should have waited til you had completed your final render, then tagged the real pic as final render, and the rinal render as pic and see if anyone could spot the difference.:p

Book looks good, but I suggest adding sime lines to the white page area to make it look like pages, not one big mass. For extra credit, try "flaring" one of the page's corners to look as if it has been read alot :)

It was supposed to have lines in the white area but they didn't show up in the render. I'll try and fix it.

What do you mean by clean? If you mean that it's not covered in dirt and stains it's only three days old.

Ok, I'll turn it up sharper and add some more detail to it later today like a frayed edge.

Looks great already i better go start on mine and see if i can get it at least half a good.

and the monitor - it would be cooler if you apply a differant screenshot in the monitor - maybe showing how you create the screen itself - that would be nice :)

the monitor looks great but why don't you make the backfround white or add some more lights? We can't see everything of the monitor.. hehe
