Flying Things - Acid44
Pretty much just making this post so I remember that I want to try this in the morning :P
Will probably do an F22 or something similar if I can find blueprints, will be low poly as I'm still practicing the bevels Don't know if these will be good enough... Will try to find vectors in the morning http://www.the-blueprints.com/bluepr...r-1990-usa.gif EDIT: Oh good, I remembered :P Found some vector prints, going to ask my boss if he has a copy of them as he has a huge stash of vector blueprints somehow. If not, I'll find a way to get better quality than the above http://www.the-blueprints.com/vector...in_f-22_raptor And now found non vector, decent res version of that. Should have some progress in the next few hours |

Little bit of a start, think I may have to start drawing some curves to figure out the actual shape of it as the blueprints don't show it too well
EDIT: Bit more. Aircraft are bloody hard things to model, I think I'm starting to get a grip on it though. Completely different methods than I use with cars. Gah. EDIT 2: Tiny bit more. Just some more blocking out/tweaking, and the front landing gear is almost done. |
looking good!

With a nose that pointy, you could use it as a lawn-dart! :D
|
Thankfully it's the plane that's like that and not just my modeling :P
I've done more since that update, but will post later once I get a tad more done. Just tweaking mostly |
Lucky... I'm getting tired of my code crashing my machine... *sigh* But such is life.

Hahaha, most realistic video I've seen in a while. From my experiences of programming anyways
|
Planes arent hard...cars are LOL. Looks good mate....good luck man.
|
Looking good. klicka, klicka, klicka.......beep!
|
Lol, Bullet. Cars are easy compared to this. Having to worry about every single bloody angle isn't something I'm used to :p
Opened this a few times since last post, but haven't done anything, kind of overwhelmed with other crap atm |
Same as a car acid...not too many edge loops to get the base right, then slice it up and tweak...I use Ricks method of a usiing a high reflect blinn once you have finishe a part then swap the lambert for the blinn and you will see the creases to get rid of. Its a pity you cant lock edge loops then apply an edit to them...gets a bit hard to tell which loop is whic sometimes...
cheers bullet |
So different from a car D: A car is just one giant poly plane to me. This is like... A nightmare :P
|
Well technically this is a poly plane too... haha.
|
bahahahah Im with stwert...its just a big poly PLANE....bahahahaha you made my day stwert
cheers bullet |
>_> Should have seen that coming :P
