Nurbs Locked!! PLease Help!!!

PLease help! Just when I was having great fun and understanding how to model, my nurbs became locked!! Meaning...suddenly I can't edit them at all and some stupid message comes up saying: "Warning: Some items cannot be moved in the 3D view." It makes no sense to me at all. I have only made like 10 edits on a nurb cylinder before this occurred. Why why why?? It must be something so simple!

Thanks a million to anyone who can solve this!!

I probably can't help (I'm new too), but more info might reveal something to somebody. You said you only did about 10 edits before they locked up. What kind of editing were you doing? Did all your nurbs lock up or just the cylinder you were working on?

Found one solution.

Well it seemed just the cyclinder nurb locked up!! My head was still open for editing.

I was wondering if I accidentally pressed the wrong button some where.

I was just doing simple shape modifications, making a simple body. Scaling a bit here, pulling a few faces there. Just the average kind of shape adjutments.

Anyways, I reopened the project since I sayed it 5 minutes before and I can edit the shape again!!

So I'm ok for now!! Also wondering...what is the "insert button" on the keyboard. I was following that little Franky Modeling beginners tutorial (which I really enjoy. The guy did a great job), and he was duplicating the arm and "pressed Insert" on the keyboard. Though I don't know what that key is. Anybody know?
I press "I" but it didn't create a little circle "icon" on the screen like his did.

Thanks!!

if you are on a pc the insert key (ins) is the 0 on the number pad to the right of the keyboard.
If you are on a Mac I believe it's an arrow key.

What caused you this problem, is proberly the same thing as in my thread further below. The same thing happened to me when I was trying to insert isoparms. After I had done that, the nurb became completely unchangeable.

I went to options on insert isoparms, and changed them around untill it worked.
So now I have no problems with it anymore.
