Decided to release a high resolution version of the tree frog tutorial. The high resolution texturing will also be made available.

Screen shots from the video.

It's also at twice the normal frame rate we use. This format will never replace the DiVX versions we use. There will be some special edition hi res re-releases of some old favourites if this works out well.

Sweet!
If I may ask, can you divulge what other tuts are slated to receive the hires treatment? Payday is coming up :)

Nice!

Since the price is the same, will I be able to download the hi-res video's if I've bought the lo-res already?

David 31-03-2005 04:09 PM

I'm not sure. I have lots of re-mastered DVD's. I own the old DVD for but I still had to pay for the re-mastered one when it eventually came out.

I'm thinking about what to do with people that have already downloaded the low res ones. Implementation would be a pain in the ass. Not everything will be available in hi resolution.

Let me know what you think would be fair and why and I'll consider any idea. I'm just not sure ATM.

David.

I see your point, and I think it's fair enough...

ooo.. Pretty....

Seems cool enough but need to figure out what to do about peopel wanting the new High Res Version if they have the old one. Maybe charge them only one point?

I think it would be unfair to charge the full price to people who have already Downloaded the tut Maybe some kind of discount?
