texture apping 1:1 ?

hello friends !

I´ve created a simple nurbs plane. On this plane, I want to map a single .bmp file.

I want to map t 1:1 on the plane - so that I don´t have any distortion.

where & how I can set such options for the 2d texture map ?

thx,
bernhard

correct me if iam wrong but when you apply a texture it should always apply 1:1. If not go to the place 2d textue node and play around with the coverage settings in the attribute editor.

Here is an image of what I think your asking

hmmmm

The Coverage seems not to be the right thing for my problem.

here you can see the orignal image from the audi tt (as example)

and here you can see the image in maya:
http://rieder.tophunter.at/3d/oben_maya.jpg

you can see the difference.
so, what I can do that I can have the original texture with absolut no distortion.

thx

Oh, Thats a camera image plane?

If so, you have to change the settings in the channel box for the image plane.

If thats an image on a plane than you should use a poly plane and scale it in the channel box inputs.

Maybe this will help

aha, aha - so you take the original pixel from the image (width & height) and you use this dimension for the object plane.

now I understand - and it works fine.

thank you very much for your help,
bernhard

yes, roach is correct. You need to make your plane the same size resolution as your image

I'm glad I can help
