painting weight problem
 

i have a little problem, which seems to be happening all over the model. Basically i am starting to add weight to the model and i am getting a collapsing effect with the geometry. Not exactly sure how to word it other than that. I have attached some images to the post

would it be a problem with the geometry, should i freeze transformation and then delete history?

has anyone experienced this problem before? :)
