Mental Ray Render Error
When trying to render a specific scene using mental ray (and only with mental ray), I get this error: "Error: (Mayatomr.Geometry) : LeftHandShape, non-quadrilateral face in subdivision surface base mesh not supported, ignored."
The rendering process does not stop, but it only renders a black screen (blank). Could someone please explain to me what this error means and how I would go about fixing it? Thank you. |
I believe it is because Mental Ray does not support subd's. Try this...put a nurb and a poly object next to the subd, some lights, and render...
