Feet sticking to ground after rigging

Hi everyone,

I have just finished rigging a character but when I lift either foot a bit of it stays stuck to the ground. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Thanks in advance

Paint the weights on the foot.

make the brush 0 and then scan it over all of the left foot(1 on the ground)

I painted all over the one on the ground but the other foot has remained the same. Could you please explain in greater detail?

Many thanks
Simon

right now the verts in question are weighted to the other foot's joints, so you'll have to paint the weights of the left leg's joints to the left leg's verts to replace the incorrect weight from the right leg's joints.

Hopefully not too confusing. :)

Thanks. Turns out the reason I was so confused was because there was an extra joint called zeroweightjoint which TSM2 had added. I deleted that and now it's fine.

By the way I'm having a problem with the locators in the feet. TSM2 has put them inside the feet so I can't get to them. Is there any way of moving the locators now that everything's been binded?

Simon :-)

1. select the locator
2. Display > Transform Display > Selection Handles
3. Enter component edit mode (F8)
4. Make the Handles selection mask active (indicated by a "+" sign.
5. Select the locator's selection handle and move it out to a more accessible position.
6. Exit component edit mode (F8)

Should have a handy handle to grab for the locator out in space.
