Hey guys-

I started to work on a new character today , in the hopes of producing my first rigged project.

He's the old man in the moon- made of moon-looking cheese.

C+C please!

Hey!
I like this character! Nice work! Would like to see a subd version!
About your question, the best way( I think) to animate the sub-d character is to bind the skeleton to the low-poly version and allso use it as a wrapper around the sub-d version...so you have two versions... Steven Stahlberg has a great tutorial about this!

Great work Howard! Must be great to bring your drawings to 3d like that. Look forward to seeing more!

M- yep it was a square first- actually a few squares- head-hand-shirt-pants- and shoe were all seperate squares. then I cut the crap out of em with the poly split tool, maybe a little too much :D

Witchy- it is fun, but I am sure you know the feeling well, you have been doing terrific work lately... Mr Mouse Militia!:D

Here is his ear. its my first "almost" anatomically correct modeling.. almost ;)

I have the artisitic ability of a dead deer run over by a 30 tonne truck, but thanks 8).

What I like most about your work is you have great ideas and can convey them in 2D and 3D in a really stylish and unique way. That's talent.

Nice ear!

Sir Av- I just read and reread that tutorial you posted and it made my head spin :( I have to wait untill someone creates one for people like me with limited intelligence. :(
