Hey Guys

I wasn't gonna post this until it was finished, but thought sod it!!
This is one of the bad guys for my project, I'm not gonna reveal too much, still a bit lumpy in the cheek area. Did this this afternoon, with a new mesh layout etc. Enjoy

nice and clean, just the way i like em. Ive never had to much success with box modeling..id like to see your modeling process in action : ) seems like you have a pretty big project going on though, are you doing it all by yourself? anyway...awesome work looking forward to more

Thanks Rubber Kidney, yes its a HUUUUUGE project!!! and yes all by myself. It does get a bit frustrating at times, but I really am just pushing it to my limit and a bit more if I can. I dunno if you saw some of the other stuff I've done on this site, but the designs were done over a year ago, thats how long I've been doing it!! My process of Modelling is pretty straight forward, I'm just real particular with my edge flows and loops around eyes and mouth, but I must have four sided polys at all times.

Have you got a personal site for your project?

Looks really great :)

clean mesh. but i notice in all your characters, their ears are a bit awkward.
specifically the way it seems extruded outside of the head. it's not seamlessly integrated from the jawline to the begining of the ear.
then again i don't know if it's the style u are looking to achieve...

NextDesign 20-06-2004 02:57 AM

Whoa Jango. You still seem to amaze me. B.T.W. how is the tutorial doing?

P.S. Post the refs please!

IAmThaGuvNa 20-06-2004 04:54 AM

... i want a box modelling tut! lol

Jay 20-06-2004 09:51 AM

Hey Thanks guys!!

Vlad; Yeah I know the ears are proving to be a challenge but hey thats what its all about, seeing and learning. I have actually given the Girl a new set of ears and they are now 'acceptable'. This one isn't finished by a long shot yet so there is still time to blend it in. As for the Sheriff guy I'm leaving him as his ears are like his owners.

The actual ear itself is modelled from my daughters' so the model itself is okay its just the jaw/ear closeness now. Also this is a brand new mesh from scratch, (box modelled) and if this one turns out better then I'll use it on the next character who incidently doesn't have any ears but a pair of head phones!!!

Your crit is greatly appreciated, cheers dude!!

Forgot, yeah, a good friend of mine is doing my web site, and hes just waiting for me to put images and stuff together. As far the tutorial goes the head one will be placed on there as I dont want to upset anyone on SM because this is really a great site!!!

But what I would ask is if I can put a link for this site on my site once its done. So if any of you moderator guys are reading this, is that okay??
