Duplicating an object along a curve

I just created an object that looks similar to a Sci-fi pipe in an alien ship or factory.
This piece should in the end by duplicated along a curve to form the whole pipe.
I do kot know how to duplicate it along a path though...

If anyone can help me with my problem, it would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
:)

I could be misunderstanding the question but did you try extruding along a curve?

No, you got my question wrong (but thanks anyway :) ):
What I am trying to do is basicly trying to duplicate a sphere along a curve, for example I make an irregular curve/line, and then make a sphere, which I then duplicate say 10 times along that path.

Hope you understand...

Ohhh, ok. you can create animate snapshot or dupe the object xx times then snap align along curve (you may have to use the rebuild curve operation to get even spacing).
