Mobilephone(1stmodel)
ok this is my first go at modelling not using tutorials i am modelling a mobiloe phone and this is the shape i have got of the actual body itself:
http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...obilephone.jpg and i was wondering how would u show "cracks" like where to plastic meet and form a indent (sorry cant explain what they are) thanks josh |
showing details depends on the geometry your using as there are difference approaches to Polys than NURBS or Sub-D's

so i should create a sub d and scale it in? (its a polygon cube) sorry if this is a really beginner question but i cdidnt understand how i would do it could i create 3 sets of divisions close and pull the middle one in?

Pretty hard to give feedback when you have so much left. Get all the features (buttons, screen etc) on first and then see what you can improve :)
The only advice I could give you now is to continue shaping your cell, which is kind of obvious :P |
yeh no problem if you got nothing to say i just like posting bit by bit up i hope you dont mind it makes me work harder at it for some reason and at the end i like looking through.
can i ask how would u sugest doing buttons? should i extrude sections or is there a better easier way? |
Buttons shoud be seperate geometry, the screen an extrude.
|
thanks ok so create a new shape and combine them yeh do i merge vertices? btw thanks for the reply i cudnt think which to do
|
Dont merge or combine any of the buttons.
|
oh i thought u combine all things so it one object but ok thanks for the help ill get onto it straight away
|
