Flying V Guitar
ive been workin on this today..
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...513/Guitar.jpg i was just wondering.. how do u guys recommend me doing the strings... i thought jus using a cylinder and stretching it out the through the whole thing.... but its a bit difficult like that.... |
I would just create a nurbs curve for the wire, and then a nurbs circle, then extrude it.
|
Yeah, then just add a texture map of some spiraled wire and maybe even a bump. But for when the strings wrap around the tuning pegs. If you want them to be realistic. Make sure you have plenty of CVs. I really like this project. Looks great. How did you come across that topology by the way. Looks different, but also somewhat efficient. Conversion?

hers what i got so far
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...13/flying1.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...13/flying2.jpg just need to do the inlays on fretboard and the headstock the topology.. u mean the thickness and stuff i just did it by eye.. since ive seen many of these.. and also grabbed a few reference images from the web the strings i just did by taking a cylinder and stretchin it... might not be the best way.. il try that extract thing with the circle... |
With the topology, I mean the wireframe, and how it appears on the outside of your model. Like triangles or quads.
