Microsoft Seinfield ads, worst ads ever?
 

I don't know about you guys, but am I the only one that noticed how awful the Microsoft Seinfield ads are? Here's the links if you haven't seen them:

They make no point whatsoever to improve Microsoft's image. It actually seems like it has worsened their image, lol. What do you guys think?

If they think they are going to defeat the Mac advertisements, they are seriously wrong.
I agree, I think they are worsening their image.

wow, I actually liked those though. If you are a fan of Seinfeld, it should appeal to you. Also, notice the lack of bashing Mac. that is called fair play.
The people at Mac insult windows to make mac seem better. Notice the difference? Its good to see a friendly commercial.:beer:

I like the show Seinfeld and yeah I use a pc (even though I'm considering having a Mac on the side) but those commercials just seem kinda nonsensical and forced, when there's a commercial break I don't want a mini show between my show, there's enough bullcrap on TV as it is. Even though I know they're targeting the people who just use their computers to check emails, instant message and browse for porn, they could have come up with something more straight forward that marketed the product well. Anyone who knows anything about computers wouldn't need to hear about who stole the friggin leather giraffe. I don't care for the Mac vs PC commercials either, the are also targeting the check email/download porn crowd. At the same time, I can't blame them for having such a target since that seems to describes most people.

Lol I thought they were quite quirky and fun, and better than ramming statistics and figures down the viewers throats.

Hold the phone. The windows ads were supposed to lure people back into windows, these ads had nothing to do with software or computers whatsoever.
Before everyone thinks I'm captain Apple, I'm not. I bought my first mac 3 years ago, its a laptop. I have had a PC for 21 years, always will have a pc (and yes it runs windows).
But anyways, I thought the mac ads were just overplaying the windows problems that was until I tried vista.
After 10 minutes of vista I understood and encountered all of the things the mac ads tell you about. Many of those problems are annoying and seemingly unnecessary.

I think that the mac ads are light hearted and friendly while painfully true at the same time. Mind you, there is one ad that windows might be smart to counter and that was the one where PC was going to the hospital to get a webcam and some hardware added. It sure seems like a pain in the ass trying to install new hardware in a mac. But anywho, I thought the point of these stupid ads was to indeed bite back at Mac. But instead these are ads which have little relevance to anything technology.

Mac: Hi! I'm a Mac!
PC: And I'm a PC!
PC: Have you seen Uncle Bill's new ads about Microsoft Vista?
Mac: Ya, Academy Award winning stuff it is...
PC: *sniff* You don't have to be so mean...
Mac: Yeah, I mean, PCs don't have Final Cut and all that...
PC: *mutters* Windows Movie Maker...
Mac: Considering that, it's not _that_ bad, I mean, its not "people are fleeing from it bad..."
PC: PLEASE STOP!

Exactly! Thank you. It just seems more like a PR move than an actual marketing effort, like "Oh look, we're pissing money but you can still relate to us right?" I just feel like they're taking me for an idiot so it just rubs me the wrong way lol.

Now I absolutely HATE! Vista and would rather run XP,Ubuntu or some other form of Linux but for the average joe just tell them you'll save 50% less than Mac and they are overrated. Any chances that Microsoft realizes that Vista stinks (annoying otherwise it's fine) and get a patch to get rid of less of the automated pains of Vista.
