HDTV, HDMI to DVI
 

So when I hook this up the LCD HDTV, it works but the res looks like its half the res it should be even when its on 1080p I bought this cord.

I'm confused here, are you wanting opinions about video cables or the GFX card?

im not sure if its the TV or the GFX card, but what ever the case I own everything i just need to know why it looks like its not 1080p, thanks for respond ;)

Make sure your GFX card rez is set to HDTV specs of 1920 X 1080. Also make sure your using the right input on the back of your tv, and check your tv's on screen input menu.

yea i did that before thanks for replieys, i was just wondering if it were somewhat common :)

does ur tv not have a computer input port
most ive seen come with a vga or dvi port

also when you connect it up does your computer reconise the tv
in display pref it should tell you make ect
ie Sony kx6575

I figured it out the other day, but i still dont know what i did different lol.. i just hooked it up and it went :)
