welcome back ...good modeling ..is this nurbs or poly ?

pbman 16-06-2008 11:29 PM

cheers,

its all nurbs which is why i am dreading texturing it, thankfully i think i can get away with a max of 4 textures, 2 if im lucky and clever.

then just need to work on the material for it, 3 in total to do

yeah - nice job pbman - and good to see you back. the bottom edge looks like it maybe needs a few more subdivisions. really like the design - might be a good starting off point for a dalek style robot.

pbman 17-06-2008 07:56 AM

cheers guys!

arran - could you be a bit more specific on the bottom edge you are referring to, since this is nurbs its hard for me to tell in the viewports

i was referring to the bottom edge of the main body and the torus shape at the bottom - it looks a little bit bumpy / jagged to me in the top image - though looking at it again it doesn't look as bad as i first thought.

pbman 17-06-2008 11:26 AM

cheers i will look into that,

will look at the tessellation of those parts,
could also be render setting, which were not set that high as i couldn't be bothered to wait:headbang:
