Realism - cb8rwh
ello,
well i thought i'd give this a shot - don't know how far i'll get but I am going to model my phone - yeah I know not very original - its an ericsson t65. |
Woohoo, go rich! Well, phones are cool :), if done right they can look really real. Just on this challenge, make sure that you remember 1 key factor, do it slowly and add TONS OF DETAIL. Maybe on the screen of the phone, you can put some cool pixelated image :).

Ello,
well I have started on the general shape of the phone. Looks rather crude at moment - but hey it's a start :) |

ello,
well here's the latest version - got a lot more texturing done - I finally figured out how to layout uvs and texture that way. Looking better but I am now trying to get the GI_Joe fake HDRI to work - without much success. |
Your labels seem to be out of focus.
I don't know if the following applies to your situation, but there is an option for using texturemaps in the material attributes, which can set the...um... whatsitcalled...um... blur? to none. That may help to get a crisper text on your model I think. |
cheers for that undseth - had a look and its the filter attribute in the file node that needs to be altered -looks much crisper now :)
