Funky Bunnies 29-06-2005 04:14 PM

yes, this is some nice work. Nice attention to detail too :)

one thing if you don't mind me asking , though, how do you create the clay render within maya? I've always wondered, but I haven't found anything on how to do it

alienscience 29-06-2005 04:26 PM

Do a search for "clay render" on the forum search. You should find a thread on it. But for this, I think he used a plugin called "turtle". The thread from the search should give you an idea for an actual shader. But great work by the way. Is that game modeling or what?

EDIT: Yeah, after reading vlads post. I would have to agree with him. I think the textures seem a little.........faint and faded.

vladimirjp 29-06-2005 05:20 PM

great work.
some parts seem to not be as well textured as other parts.

Good work. Although i find the lower section a bit weird. Looks like his legs facing the wrong way.

Still, very nice.

uberstonks 29-06-2005 09:43 PM

Great work

I asked you this in another thread of yours , but you didnt answer.....

What sort of lighting set/shader are you using in those scenes?
I have been trying to render some of my stuff like that using Turtle but cant get anywhere near that perfect look you give your models in the renders.. Some help would be appreciated bud..

I surrender. You are too damn good. The only bad thing: textures.

Anyway, where do you find Turtle?

THX1138 04-08-2005 12:16 AM

Thats a really impressive mech, you should post that on some other website if you haven't allready. The texturing is really well done.
