Rendering all white background with shadows
Hi.
Does anyone know how to render 'white void'? The only way I can explain what I'm looking for is the PC vs Mac adverts, where the background is all white, but you can still see floor shadows. Anyone have any idea? I've tried throwing a plane down, but you end up seeing the edges. Thanks James |
throw a 'use background' shader on the plane. it'll turn green in the viewport, but when you render, you'll see that the alpha channel only includes your object and its shadow, and not the plane.

I made this tutorial for one of the students on the same course that I'm on, it may well help you out too. It shows how to make a quick FG render.
Right Click And Save (14.5Meg) the link to view it. Take it easy, Mat. |
It says "File not found"
Could you repost it please?? |
Oops,
try the link again James, it should work now. Sorry, Mat |
Diamond!
I'll take a look when I come back from the shop... I've got to get out...it's too nice outside to stay in and animate all day. Thanks again. |
PERFECT!
Cheers mate!! |
