Adding thickness

Ok, dumb question, but if im working on with a bunch of poly faces that ive made with the create polygon tool, how do give them thickness.

maybe this picture will better explain my dilema.

hmmm. you would want to ask brian about this..

what i would do, is select all the faces and then extrude it outside or inside (make sure keep faces to gether option is checked [ Modelling menu set -> Polygons -> Tools Options -> Keep faces together] )

hope this helps,
Tariq

Hmm helps a bit, but there is still a hole. I want to have a solid object, that i can smooth and whatnot.

This is what i got with the extrude.

If you could post the image and point out what hole are u talkin abt then i think i could help...
well while workin in polygons there are different ways to close a hole...
like you could merge different vertices or edges...or you could extrude an edge and then merge it with others....

you have to select all the faces... not the edges
