Emitting Particles From Fluids

I wanted to make a cloud with some fluid effects, and thought about emitting particlers from it to look like rain. Is this possible? I haven't had a chance to try it myself but it sounds like it could work.

Well, fluids aren't really designed for small particulate matter such as rain.
Fluids are best left to things like larger volumes of things like clouds, smoke, lava, fire, etc.

Simple emitted particle streaks, or blurred point particle types are your best choice for rain.

For a few suggestions on how to better achieve rain, I answered your other rain post also btw, in case you missed it:)

Cheers. I just realised that I could use a simple plane and make it invisible during renders, so that should work well.
