Creating Metal Grid Platforms and Frames
 

I want to create a platform that has a metal grid floor with square holes in the floor. Is there an easy way of doing this?

I also need to make a large ring of windows.

as for a grid in the floor, you could just transparency map that with an image that has white lines where you want your grid. for the ring of windows, i think you need to be more specific as to what exactly you mean.
