OK...

Not been on for a long long time (long story).

So here goes.. The Red Bull Air Race
:):attn: :beer: :eek: ;) :bandit: :bow: :p :blush:

For those who don't know what that is. Its a stunt Ari Race, Where contestants take a plane through a slalom course and try to do it in the fastest time.

Blocking the Fuselage

That is a seriously cool idea, are you going to go for an action shot, as if paused in mid air?

Yes the plan is for motion blur, smoke dynamics. hey I may even do a short anim if I get the time :p

Heres another part of the blocking stage done...

Finished the basic blocking of the body and have moved onto Detailing. Fuselage and Wings are now SubD and the rest is polys...

Next is a little detailing and the wheels... (or undercarriage if u will ):blush:

Have you thought of the environment for this race?
Definitely go for something sunny with lots of visual effects :)
Plus, I don't think it works with the Red Bull Air Race, but two planes in one scene chasing each other would be nice.

The Enviro has been decided, but I aint telling u lot yet. The Red Bull Ari Race is the choice and the Enviro will show it working. but thx for the input m8.

Only got the Wheel under the tail to do and the modelling is completed. UV needs a little tweek here and there, but that will be done shortly. The Model consists of Polys, Sub-D and Nurbs

OK, modelling done (i hope). cant see anymore I want to add to the structure so I am happy with it.

Onto the part I find hardest... Texturing :confused:
