Bedroom day and night

Recently, Perfecto, Severanthony and I started working on a bedroom.
Unfortunately, Sever got busy with his work.
So it was Perfecto and me.

To this beautifully modeled scene by Perfecto, I am trying to do justice by lighting, texturing etc.

I plan to make a day and night lighting of the same scene.
Want to improve the night scene soon, but first will complete the day scene.

Heres the night scene:

Modeling, texturing, lighting...you two did a spectacular job; two thumbs up.

I would highly recommend adding a procedural to the walls. This will provide a much warmer feel to your composition. With perfectly flat walls you get to much of a sterile hospital type feeling.

Great work on the lighting njon. It really brings the scene to life. I notice there's an appearance of light reflecting off of half the vents on the left wall. Is that coming through the wall? I like the shadows that are being cast on the bed by the window blinds. Do you think the right side of the room is a little too dark for that much sun shining through the windows?

Sever:
thanks, looking forward to work on something together soon.

Thx Voodoo:

yes a texture would make the scene realistic and interesting.

Perfecto, You got a point(s) threre, I will work on that.

Hey njon,
I take back what I said about the right side of the room looking a little dark. When I view it on my home computer, it looks just fine. It was only when I viewed it on my computer at work that it looked really (really) dark.

For someone who's still learning lighting, your doing an amazing job.

Great work on the lighing for the daytime scene, looks great, What method did you use to light it?

Also no too sure if its the resolution of the pic (or my eyes!!) but the wood grain in the top pic seems a bit to uniform and in some parts the wornd direction, if you get my meaning?

If it was me I would uv map the bed then apply some hi res wood textures to it in photoshop, just to give it that notch up on the realism.

Looks good.

One thing i saw that didnt look right the lights are yellow and the light on the wood is white... in this picture?

Gster:
Thanks.
The daytime scene is rendered with MR. I tweaked it but am getting some spill which somehow cannot be fixed.I am just not upto the mark I guess with MR (I can get it right in Vray)

About the wood ure right, it would be great to do the UV.
Your eyes are doing very well, the image needs work , will do it soon.

Starjswars:
nIce observation there!
Will work on it.
Thanks.
