scaling image texture

I'm sure this is a very dumb question but i'll ask it anyway.

I'm trying to add a file as a 2d texture on the face of a cube. All is well until I render and notice the picture is too big for the face. I can't seem to find an option anywhere to scale the texture so that the whole image fits on the face of the cube.

hey Teh Duke, if u want to scale a texture u can just simply go to windows ---> UV Texture Editor

inside there right click and click UV and then move the UV to fit the image

another way u can also select the Face then go to the polygon tab --> Create UV's --> Planer mapping --> Option box (on the right) so inside there look at the axis of the face and simply project it

Hope This Helps

Even more directly, if you really don't want to go into the UVs (which you should evenutally) is to check out the 2DTexturePlacement node, which should be attached to your file node (check in the hypergraph and graph connections for your material). There you can change the repeat units, the scale, rotation, all that.

However, if you want more control, you'll have to do some UV mapping as stated earlier.
