'noob', it was written accidently? importance is the first part...

To be a moderator I assume you have to be active on the web-site for quite a while and make valid and useful comments on a regular basis.

As I am sure there are 1001 other people ahead of us to become moderators when the opportunity comes up I don't think it is something you should be worrying about right now.

As far as being a n00b, well post alot in this part of the forum. I have been on the forum for a while and I still manage to ask some pretty n00b questions so I guess there is a bit of n00b in us all at some stage.

:D

here is the exact detail why i wrote n00b

today ma math teacher told me to write "n00bs dont have brains, because they don't know algebra" 1000 times.

got bored writing it, hated writing it, then went to ma comp, when i checked ma thread "its time to vote" it was deleted by DANNYNGAN {he sucks}, just got hated with moderators, thats why i wanted to b a moderator else a n00b. to.....

to be continued.... go to write it 1000 times. wish me luck

I closed your voting thread, because it turned into a political discussion, which has no place on these forums. You're more than welcome to start a new poll if you'd like.

Tim_LIVID 26-01-2006 07:56 PM

I can see Dannyngan's point even if I might not agree with 100% of what he had to say. As a moderator he has to balance his duties. The fact that the last thread turned political was purely by accident and although nothing faulse was said, maybe a website about Maya isn't the right place.

With that aside I can see how you think you might have had it tough. It wasn't an attack on you but more on the direction that the thread was going.

That's basically how I interpreted his actions, hope I got it right.

:D

Just to clarify... danny closed it. *I* deleted it. I would have closed it myself had I got to it first. It had nothing to do with who started the post. It had to do with the people responding going so far off-tangent.

Tim_LIVID 26-01-2006 08:12 PM

I think the thing is that we have threads that go way of tagent on this site (some can be found in the Members Lounge).

I think the problem in that instince was that the subject was a bit too sensitive.

Tim_LIVID 26-01-2006 10:03 PM

Sorry mate, looks like I have killed another of your threads.

how long is "been here a while and comment regularly?" ive been here a while and comment regularly too... but i dont care really, just curious.

dannyngan 27-01-2006 02:23 AM

In general, moderators are only added if the current ones can't and/or don't want to do it anymore. Also, the existing moderators recommend and vote on who gets to become a moderator when the need for another one arises. It is not something we simply hand out to people who make a lot of posts or have been around for a long time.
