extrude pivot problems
 

when I go to extrude and hit the local world icon the bloody thing goes to the X,Y origin?? have I inadvertantly reset something in the tool parameters??? I dont remember touching anything, scaling and extrusion are fine but if I wish to extrude on the X,Y it zips back to origin???
