Apply Paint per Vertex won't save
I create a polygonal object, go to Edit Polygons>Color>Apply Color, stick some colours on the object I want, then save. However, when I re-open the file, the painted vertices are back to their dull gray colour. I should be able to just press 6 and see the colours, but it doesn't seem to work that way. What am I doing wrong? I would use the Apply Paint Per Vertex tool, but the colour I want cannot be gotton that way. Apply Colour offers you the ability to select any colour currently on your monitor, which is the perfect way to get the exact colour I want. *phew*

I just tried it. Apply color's purpose seems to be for temporary use in your scene. If you just want a straight color on an object, I'd say just create a Lambert with the color you need.

Ahh. That makes sense. I also noticed that when you reboot the file and then go back to Apply Paint for the object, the painted surface appears again. Since I have no idea how to do UV texturing, I guess I'll have to use the 3D Paint tool. I was trying to avoid this though because I've had multiple problems with it. Oh well.

Bah! I am so frustrated! I cannot get 3D Paint to work! Ahhh! What in the world am I doing wrong?! I select the object, go to 3D Paint Options Box, assign a texture value, then try to paint on it, but nothing ever appears! I can paint on other object I create, just not this particular one. Do I have to delete the apply colour per vertex attribute? If you do, I have no idea how to. Arg!
