fur with lights ??
 

how do i tell fur to use the lights in the scene - my fur always seams to be illuminated, but not by my lights in the scene :(

check out the fur attributes.. and be sure not to keep bright colors in the tip and ambience colors.. should do it

oh thanks. and i found out that for a light you need to add fur specific stuff (in fur menu somewhere), otherwise you cannot have self shadows and fur shadows in the scene.

i really should learn to look in the great manual of maya first :rolleyes:
