Good method to make twisted cords

Hi.

I hope somebody can help me out doing a twisted cord like the old style phone cords and the ones that are common on headphones. I just can not figure out a good way to do it.

There's a helix primitive. That should get you going at least.

Ohh my god I feel silly, I spent a day with rotate and transform and all along there was a simple primitie :headbang:

Even if you hadn't had that, you also could have made a curve and then after wards extruded along said spiral curve...
though the helix works wonders for that sort of thing you're wanting...the curve method can come in handy for certain aspects.

Haven't picked up deformer skills yet, but I guess those tutorials are next in line. Now I am more exited to begin with deformers!
