Simply Maya User Community - Wedge face and select edge loop help

I'm having an issue with selecting an edge loop after using wedge face. Basically I used wedge face on the end of polly cube to round off the end of it. Now when I use select edge loop it doesn't select the whole loop. It only selects the top edge that I clicked on and around the wedge and it stops when it gets to the bottom edge of the cube. This is causing a big problem with mesh smooth later on down the road. So how do I combine the bottom edge so that it's one continuous edge loop. Thanks guys!
