Clay Render?
Hey Guys, I've been working on a robot for a couple of weeks now. Its almost done, I want to try to do some clay renders but I dont know how to do that, I couldnt find any tuts, I searched the forums too and found nothing.
Im using Maya 6.0, thanks in advance, sorry for the simple question. |
two ways of doing this
1) GI_Joe - search for that on this website an ull find it - its a plugin 2)manually - make a pshere scale to bigger that ur scene reverse normals so they face inwards apply a lambert to it and chose a colour wack incadense and ambient up high (tweak these by doing test renders) leave lambert 1 on ur model or u can make a new lambert if it needs tweaking render in mental ray with final gather on at about 500 |

One thing I dont understand though, reverse normals so they face inwards......How do I do that? Thanks! |
i dont have maya to hand so i might be a little off
to reverse normal go edit poly gons and near the bottom there should be a tab called normals and then a choice for reverse u can display normals to see if they r facing the right way either under display - pologon and normals or unter the normals tab at the location to the first part |
