hi

in the simply maya santa tut i cant deform his hat like the tutors. this is because although i have the same amount of isopalms on the hat, there are far to may control points. its really bugging me. anyway to keep the no of isopalms and lower the control points? take a look at the file

cheers

surely it doesn't matter how many points you have on the hat, you can still just grab them and rotate in a similar way to the video.

control point problems

i just tried it again and all i gat is a crappy looking thing on top of his head. there has to be a way of lowering the points around the hat?

now i cant deform the hat at all for some reason. any more ideas? i would send you the file so you can work on it if you like and see exactly what i mean, but i cant send maya files or can i?

*You can attach Maya files in almost any format you want... just like you attach a picture
*Maya sometimes does things that make perfect sense code wise, but are not what the user intended to make and are impossible to understand... If your hat gets too messy try building it over again.
