Deleted Files?

Does anyone know of any file recovery programs that can somehow tell you when you've deleted a file?

My KVM switch went crazy and as a result, I had two minutes of uncontrollable mouse activity that messed up my files and may have deleted some. Since I've got 15K of files on that disk, and there is no way I could remember all of them, and I was too lazy to catalogue the files, something that tells you when you've deleted a file would be a big help in accessing the damage.

KVM switch?

HA you only have 15000 files?

my computer says i have 800,000!

anyway, sorry i dont know about your problem...

Only 800,000 files? My main hard drive has 1,011,957.

Joopson > 'KVM switch?'

KVM stands Keyboard Video Mouse. Its one of those switches that lets you switch between two different computers while sharing one set of periperals.

Joopson > 'HA you only have 15000 files?'

15k of user made files is by my standards (don't know about you guys) is a lot.

All 3 of my hard drives (on my main computer, which is the one IÕm on right now) together have 1,411,342 files. IÔm surprised that IÕm in the lead right now, casuse I always thought that PCs had way more files than a Mac!

On a Mac, itÕs easy, just go to the Disk Utility.

lol, you PC users have to wait for it to tell you how many files there is?! :p

Joopson 07-07-2007 08:33 PM

mine is only for the main drive ^_^

gster123 07-07-2007 09:21 PM

What is the point of this thread? To show how many files you have, and how much stuff youve got that you probably never use?

Architect - Sorry I dont know of a programme to that will tell you when it was deleted, unless you mean the recycle bin?? as thet tells you in the porperties the date that it was deleted but its probably not what your after.
