Bump map confusion
 

can some one post a pic of a model with a bump map, and post a picture of the actual bump map that you would apply, and mabye a pic of the model without the bump map... I dont get how to make one properly in Photoshop.....

The geometry used in this thread was a simple poly sphere. The results and the maps are shown in the thread.

Basics for creating the bump map. White is high, black is low.
Playing the bump's alpha gain setting will adjust how much influence white and black values have. The bump will only show in the rendered view.
