Well, I am going to make a robot guy for a desk. I know it sounds not realistic but I am going to try out some things to make him look realistic. I don't think we have to pic a real object, but make an object look realistic.

So anyways, here is the start.

Building him up

Very nice progress, but I think you need to go over the rules and guidelines one more time. I believe you do have to pic something that allready exists.

Oops. Well it doesnt say anything about a picture, but it does say:

"Create a recognizable, present-day object (any inanimate object) and make it as real looking as possible!"

Thanks for telling me before I modeled the whole thing!

You might find it a little low on the detail side to impress with modelling/realism. How about modelling a few things on your desk, like the mouse sat on your keyboard or something?

Just an idea :)

I was thinking about that. Good idea. I will make some objects on the desk as well. Here is some progress

looks good.
remember the time frame was 2 months so ure work should show that ;)

got a reference pic so we can see how its going in relation to the realness?

JDigital 28-11-2005 02:17 PM

The rules and regulations didn't say anything about a reference picture.

It just said to pic an everyday object and make it look realistic in a scene.

Did I miss something?

I am going to start making some details around the desk like pens etc... here is the start on some pens

hmm, well, dude, I really think you should base your scene off another picture, how about your own desk, take a digital picture, of your desk, and then post it here, so we can base it off, on how realistic your scene is to your picture.

JDigital 29-11-2005 12:29 AM

Good point, if it was in the regulations I would have. Now that I have already started (2 times, haha) I would need to start all over to make it realistic to my desk.

What do you think? Think I should just start over?

I am thinking of maybe just modeling my computer monitor or something. I could just take a picture of it to eliminate peoples issues of realism etc...
