Hi folks.
Has anyone come across this issue?

I am selecting verts in the side view but only the verts on one side of the grid are selected -Z. how can I select verts that sit the other side of the grid +Z in the side view?

you have backface culling on.
toggle it by going to display -> Polygons -> Backface Culling
