Edge loop select script
 

Hey,
Id like to make a script so that if i double click an edge it will loop select. Similar to the Extension 2 for 2008 addon.
Im using maya 2008 sp1 x86_64 linux with no extensions. How would i make this? Sorry im new to mel

You could just use the pick walk select to do it, select the edge then hit the right arrow key to select the edge loop.
