XWing Fighter
 

I thought I'd try modelling a Star Wars XWing fighter for a bit of fun practise. I bet this is a popular choice of model, and I'm probably not the first to attempt it:)

Anyway, here's how it is now after 2 long sesions.

Haven't thought about animating it yet. Maybe though.

Looking good Frenzy, you gona texture it as well? Maybe have a dogfight with ctbram as well :D

That model looks very sweet. I would also like to see it textured and animated.

Im a bit of a novice with texturing, although i have animated the wings moving to attack position - easier than I thought it would be - Maya certainly is a cool program.

Only two comments on the X wing, it seems there are too many edges toward the rear, just below the cockpit area and the rear engine details are more cog like. Have attached some original X Wing pics for you. I'm a biiiiig Star Wars fan so things like this will always stand out to me. Hope the reference helps anyway.

Been a bit busy with the mech tut so I havent done much to this. I added some of the cog-like detail to the laser cannons and cleaned up the area surrounding the cockpit.
