Render wireframe on shaded
On simplylightwave.com is a tutorial on how to render a picture with the wireframe showing on shaded object. How do I get this effect in Maya?

Wireframe rendering in maya
One way to do it (in most of the cases it works) is to take an UV snapshot from the UV editor and put that snapshot as a texture in the color channel. You can change its color and give it a little glow value (0.1) to make it more shiny. Then u have to put the same texture in the transparency channel and thats it! Try to render it an check the results :-)
u may adjust the UV points in some models to look like the wireframe PD: I dont know if it will work on complex geometry models, if anyone knows another method, please post it ;) |
I've just been using Maya's Vector renderer.... does that not always work?
