The Flamming Sword
 

After seeing a previous post of some swords I decided to give it a shot.

Cool. Is that paint FX or particles....still trying to get an eye for that type of thing.

its particles. emit from object and control the turbulence and stuff. the script is all done but still need alot of tweaking to control intensity, scale, etc..

one more for the fun of it. just added DOF

this is awesome roach :D. Just the one thing i wouldnt of done (hell i cant do any of it).. but the one thing i would of done if i could.. would of been to make the "hilt" (i think thats the name of it.. you know the part between the handle and the blade) i would make the hilt solid instead of fire.. then the blade itself to be fire :). Ok, very cool though :D

DOF is a tad bit too strong, but the fire is cool. :)

DOF in Maya is not the greatest for control. I wish they added some features to control it better.

I really like getting feedback. I start to go crazy looking at my monitor for a long time and miss all the little things.

Depth of Field

hey looks great! have you already tried to make the whole sword in flame?

and a skeleton which is using it *dreamiing*

um, fire makes light, not shadows.
