Make a hole in a plane
 

How to make a hole in a flat plane?

I make a smaller plane and put it where I want the hole and then choose Edit polygons - Make Hole Tool, but I don't know how to use it...

anyone?

The Make Hole Tool is kind weird... I think you'd get better results by using either Booleans or by cutting a hole with the Split Poly tool.

How do I use it then? sorry, I'm a newbie of Maya PLE and are making static mesheh for UT2003.

Do I select the plane I want to cut a hole in first and then choose split poly tool or?
