Polygons to Nurbs
 

I have imported an .obj polygon mesh. I tried to use interactive placement for a texture to position on the mesh. Error- not a nurbs surface.

Tried to convert polygons to nurbs. Error. Maya won't do this.

Is there a way to convert an imported polygon mesh to nurbs?
