flour sack preview
Here's a preview of a little side project that I'm working on. Nothing terribly fancy. Just a very simple character and rig for doing animation exercises. The mesh and textures are derived from the example in Maya: Secrets of the Pros. The rig is primarily FK with a few IK elements to control the "legs" and "arms". The colored control curves (all dannyHelpers except the big circle) are driving the joints through point and orient constraints. There is also a 3-point squash and stretch controler that is comprised of 3 squash deformers and some set driven keys.

Some great ideas here. Very fun! :)
For those not in the know, Adldesigner and GCastro are going to use this little guy in an animation battle. The specifics have yet to be decided, we figured it would only be a fair animation battle if both participants worked with the same character, rig, and scenario. I'm not sure when the battle is going to happen yet, but it will show up in the Battle forum at some point. |
