ok, about 1 and a half hours in.
its pretty damn boxey. ill try and work on that next. |
Looking good! Like the tyres.
|
cool!
|
How did you make the tires?
|
i'm thinking you're gonna wanna use something that looks more like an Ice Climbers boots, instead of tires. Its a shame those are nice tires.
Reminds me a bit of the Tank from "Aliens", someone is actually modeling that in the WIP forum. |
I think I will add spikes to the tire, to make them a bit more applicable to the enviroment.
They were made (very easily i might add) by taking a nurbs sphere, shaping it like the tire. Then i took the centre control points and rotated them along the axle. Then converted to poly's, and extruded the treads. Then a smooth. Heres a small update. |

Whoops.
here it is. |
If its ice climate, it might be cool to add some spike to the tyres for a look.

alright, scrapping what i have so far and starting anew.
Made a tire, it's a bit more suited for cold climate i think. what do you think? |
I think it look's great!
|
Actually the weel doesnt seem very strong and powerful. I figure it should be more "tough"
|
I agree with Inqubi, but at least it looks fun :)
|
the wheel looks great. but impossible to drive :X
|
I'd be great to drive in snow on them. Perhaps where the black parts join the grey parts (technical terms there) you could put a circular rim to give the impression of increased strength?
