export Z channel
 

hi,

I was wondering if anyone has experience with exporting z channel. I've tried doing that by just checking the Zch. box in render globals. But when I take my file (a maya .iff) into after effects and I put the 3d channel extract on nothing happens whatsoever. Does .iff not support Z?

I heard that iff does have a Z in it.. RPF also has one to but it doesnt come with maya.
